DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were thirteen games played mostly in rain today as the regular season starts to unwind and three were close ones. Penfield was a 9-7 winner over Brighton. Hilton defeated Aquinas by a score of 9-7. Canandaigua defeated Pittsford by a score of 7-5. Pal-Mac defeated Gananda to give the Red Raiders a perfect regular season at 16-0.

EU-E at Bat-NDHAVERLING-15 at BATAVIA-NOTRE DAME-5 - The Rams won another game today, with eight different players making the offensive book including Sophomore Warren McCormick scored his first Varsity goal. Others scoring for Haverling were Gavin Price (3g-3a), Drew Spears (2g-2a), and Noah Schneider (1g-2a). DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were thirteen games played today and five were close ones. Pittsford was a 8-6 winner over Penfield. Marcus Whitman defeated Brockport by a score of 4-2. Newark was a 8-7 winner over Bloomfield-Honeoye in double overtime. Brighton defeated Thomas by a score of 9-7.  Haverling defeated Bishop Kearney by a score of 10-9 and gave Head Coach Ken DiDomineck his 150th win.

HFL at CCHFL-17 at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-2 - Ten different players scored goals for HFL in this game as the Cougars (13-1) extended their winning streak to eight wins. Grady Goodberlet (7g-1a), Chase Perryman (1g-5a), and Quinn Kailbourne (2g-3a) were at the top of the tally-sheet. Drew Angelo won 16+/0- = 100% at the faceoff "X" and Freshman goalie Jason Bennett recorded 11s/2ga = 85% (48 mins). HFL at CCIRONDEQUOIT-4 at VICTOR-8 - The Blue Devils won this game in the first half leading 6-2 at the break. With the win, they extended their winning streak to eleven (11-2). Leading the scoring for Victor were Junior midfielder Brody Secker (3g-1a), Senior midfielder Aiden Clinkscales (2g-1a), and Senior attackman Jack Herendeen (1g-1a). After finishing as the runner-up last season, HFL came back to win their second Section Five Title in 3 years with a double overtime 9-8 win over Wayne.  This was the first double overtime Finals matchup since Victor over Thomas in 2018.  The Cougars’ Chase Perryman scored the game winner with 2:59 left in the second overtime period.  Perryman was named the Class B Tournament MVP and finished the game with 4g-2a.

Tonight’s 12-5 win for HFL over Livonia-Avon capped a long day of Lacrosse at HFL High School Field.  There were multiple contests across all levels of boy’s and girl’s lacrosse raising awareness and donations for “Cancer Day”.  In addition to today’s boy’s game, the girls defeated Horseheads 16-6 (HERE).  Today’s contest was a vastly different game from the contest just last week between the same two teams.  After a back-and-forth contest last Saturday, today’s match was much more one-sided.  The Cougars took long stretches of possession and gave the Lakers very little time on offense.  The Lakers attempted to use what opportunities they could get; however, it was not enough.  There were standout performances from Livonia goalie Matt Beachel with 7 saves in the first quarter (10 total for the game), HFL attackman Chase Perryman with 4g-2a, and HFL face-off midfielder Drew Angelo.

After appearing in the finals the last two seasons, Pal-Mac came into tonight’s game looking for their first win since 2017.  The Red Raiders fought back hard with last four goals of the game to defeat HF-L 8-5.  A key factor in that win was Red Raider goalie Will Nichols.  He finished the game with nine saves, including six in the first half and was named the All Tournament MVP for Class C.
